Let Me Introduce Myself! 🩷
I'm Ellen, and needlepoint has just about been my whole life.
My granny put a needle in my hand when I was seven years old, and I've been stitching ever since — that's over 50 years with a needle and thread in my hands. 😊
For the last 25 of those years, I've been teaching — helping stitchers just like you go from "well, I have no idea what to do with this" to stitching with real, honest confidence.
Now, before I ever taught a soul online, I spent 14 years behind the counter of my own needlepoint shop. That means I've sat with thousands of stitchers, real canvases in our laps, working through the exact "which stitch?" pickle you're in right now.
I've seen what trips people up — and more importantly, I've figured out how to un-trip them. 🧵
I'm also a former first-grade teacher (so breaking big scary things into itty-bitty doable steps is just how my brain's wired), an author, and — I'll have you know — a woman whose needlepoint patterns have been sold in shops as far away as France.
